Special Knowledge or Skills: Knowledge of MS Word and Excel; ability to conduct research using internet, phone, and other methods; excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills required; some knowledge of community resources for the blind or disabled required; Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience conducting support groups. 3. Experience: At least 3-5 years working in the social services field with persons with disabilities. Experience working with the blind preferred. 4. Supervisory Responsibilities: None 5. Physical: Must be capable of independent travel to clients' homes and various community agencies. Must be able to provide sighted assistance to blind clients. 6. Personality Traits: Caring, patient, professional & calm demeanor, self-motivated and conscientious, team player, able to communicate well with all types of individuals, well spoken. 7. Working Conditions: Inside, office setting, some travel to client homes or to community agencies 8. Work Schedule: Full-time/Mon-Fri. Salaried/Exempt 9.
